Join event definition:
** console line `Name[/IP:port] logged in with entity id`id — the one join-log format present across the entire archive (Dec 2020 → Aug 2026). A second join line format (`X joined the game`game) only appears from Jun 2021 onward as an additional print per login; it is **not**not added on top (no double counting).

**Verification:** totals were computed twice independently from the raw gz files (loose-pattern awk pass and per-file Python pass) — exact agreement on 67,713 total events.

**Distinct-name inflation:** unique-name counts include scanner/bot probes, alts, and name variants (BR_/br_/./Fried* families). The **Regulars (≥5 joins)** and **Core (≥20 joins)** columns are the truer community size per year.

**Aug–Nov 2025:** no ScrubCraft logs exist in the archive for those months; treat that window as unknown.

**Provenance:** this Pterodactyl instance of ScrubCraft was created 2024-10-31; pre-Nov-2024 logs in the archive are legacy console logs from the original hosting, preserved into the new instance's logs directory. The same underlying community server throughout.
