Day one

Dec 7, 2020 — the very first archived day, and the greeting was already warm: bearssss's "hi samantha" … and the voice that would define the chat for a year. 3,013 lines in December 2020 alone.

The impossible ratio

13,373 chat lines in 22.8a hourstiny logged window — by a distance the highestdensest words-per-hourchat in the logs. Samanthahaha logged in, and the chat became a town square. The ratio is so extreme it looks like a typo; it isn't.

Week one: the pillager

Her first advancement came inside the first fortnight — Who's the Pillager Now? (Dec 18, 2020) — followed a week later by Those Were the Days (Dec 24, 2020): the Bastion Remnant, explored before the New Year. The talker could fight when the chat demanded it.

The Great Boat

The eternal saga of the logs: a boat build, destroyed, rebuilt, destroyed, rebuilt. "ik ben weer opnieuw die kut boot aant maken" (I'm making the damn boat all over again) — "maar ben nog even met de boot bezig" (still working on the boat). The patience had a limit: "als ie weer in de vik wordt gestoken leave ik de server" (if it gets griefed again, I'm leaving the server).

The diamond ledger

Never forget a debt: "je had trouwens nog 53 dia blokken van mij" — by the way, you still owe me 53 diamond blocks. And the line that ended a negotiation: "Ik heb gezegd dat ik het niet meer wilde" — I said I don't want it anymore. Final, in two languages.

The cheese treaty

Diplomacy, Dutch style: "max zullen we een keer kaas eten?" — Max, shall we have cheese sometime? (No record of the cheese summit; the mystery endures.)

The beekeeper and the cat

Total Beelocation (Mar 2021) joined her to the server's quiet bee club — and then came the big one: The Cutest Predator (Jul 5, 2021) — a tamed cat, the first in the logs. Before the rabbit-tamers, before anyone, the court's voice tamed a cat and never mentioned it again.

The geography hour

The empire's conversations ran on two continents: "max ik denk dat hij Toronto bedoelt" (Max, I think he means Toronto) — and the eternal cultural question: "what is the theme song of the netherlands." The court's voice was the empire's translator, map, and DJ.

The 2022 rebuild crew

When Jenava rebuilt, the old crew returned — Jul 2022 found her in the middle of the construction chaos, in Dutch: "IK ga wel die nieuwe bomen bouwen enz" (I'll build the new trees) … "Moet nu al weer zo veel slopen" (have to demolish so much again) … "SNap tbh niet waarom we nu al aan bouwen zijn terwijl die nog niet eens af is" (don't get why we're building while the thing isn't even finished) — with Storm's shulker delivery noted and logged. The band got back together; the trees got built.

The ghost

Then the silence: 137 lines in 2022, 3 in 2023, 2 in 2025. "Since when cant you go to Jeneva through the portal >.>" (Jan 2022) was one of the last real questions. Last logged Jan 31, 2025 — a voice so loud it took the archive years to notice it had gone quiet.
